Ignore the "Available" realtor sign in front of the property, say City of Menifee officials. Black Bear Diner definitely is coming to the former Coco's restaurant site on the corner of Bradley Road and McCall Boulevard.
Residents are confused because the realtor has chosen to leave the sign in front of the property on a busy street corner, even though City officials have asked for it be removed, a source said. Although it's difficult to tell whether preparations for the popular new restaurant are underway behind construction fencing, one City spokesman said a lot is happening behind the scenes.
"Black Bear Diner is moving forward," said Phil Southard, public information officer for the City. "They are investing over $1 million in external improvements, including an outdoor patio, facade enhancements, and new signage. They are also freshening up the parking lot and landscaping. Their goal is to open by the end of Fall 2022."
