MENIFEE -- The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:
Murrieta Road at Newport Road
Murrieta Road will be closed from Murphy Ranch Road to La Piedra Road as EMWD continues work on the Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project. The closure is expected to remain in place until approximately June 15. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad for additional updates on this project.
Palomar Road at Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Improvements
Palomar Road remains open.
Goetz Road – North of Kabian Park – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project
SCE undergrounding work continues on Goetz Road north of Kabian Park.
Menifee Road Improvements – North of Matthews Road
Intermittent lane closures remain active as construction continues in this area.
Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard – Traffic Signal Improvements
The planned closure of Sun City Boulevard and the west side of Murrieta Road has been delayed until further notice due to shortages of construction material availability. Additional updates about this closure will be provided as new information becomes available.
Scott Road between Menifee Road and Briggs Road – Sumac Ridge Utility Work
Intermittent traffic control continues on Scott Road in support of this utility construction project.
Holland Road – SoCal Gas Line Installation
Traffic control is no longer in place at this location as work is nearing completion.
Potomac and Meadows Resurfacing – Pavement Management Program (PMP) Project
Pavement rehabilitation work on this project is in full swing and is expected to continue through June 10. For a map of street locations that will be resurfaced through this project, please visit the City’s website.
Garbani Road and Menifee Road – Traffic Signal Improvements
Traffic signal improvement work continues to require intermittent traffic control near this intersection.
*NEW* Newport Road and Town Center Drive – Minor Power Outage Scheduled Overnight Saturday, June 4 to Sunday, June 5
Power at the intersection of Newport Road and Town Center Drive is scheduled to be turned off temporarily to allow SCE contractors to complete the planned removal of power poles located on the south side of Newport Road.
