Perris Union High School District has contracted with the Menifee Police Department to have officers present at Heritage High and Paloma Valley High graduation ceremonies this week.

Menifee PD Captain Dave Gutierrez said in addition to the police presence at the graduation ceremonies, officers will continue to be present at school campuses throughout Menifee for this last week of school. Menifee PD has had a presence at schools since the school shootings at a Texas elementary school last month.

Heritage High's commencement exercises will begin at 6 p.m. on Thursday. Paloma Valley's ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday.
