The Senior Expo & Health Fair was held at Central Park on Saturday with a large crowd of senior citizens who sought the nearly 40 vendors for resources to a happier and healthier lifestyle.
The vast array of vendors, which included All-Star Physical Therapy, Hospice of the Valleys, and Loma Linda University among others, provided information, goodies, and more on subjects such as health care, real estate, and education from their respective booths.
This free event provided by the City of Menifee and sponsored by three Menifee companies drew in a good portion of residents despite the hot weather. Free lunch for the first 200 guests, giveaways, and a live band named Mile 5 added for plentiful reasons to stay and a great ambience of enlightened attendees. People were encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to add to the picnic-like festivities and the expo occupied more than half of the space at Central Park in Menifee Town Center.
The live band, Mile 5, played cover songs from different genres and different eras with some attendees seen dancing and openly enjoying the music. The band brought a lot of joy and solid, good music to the public.
Senior Expo & Health Fair took place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with attendees needing as much time to navigate to all of the booths, all of whom were staffed by extremely friendly and helpful people.
The people working behind some of the booths were really approachable and knowledgeable on their respective fields. In fact, one could’ve gone the entire time on one booth alone; however, the booths had similar experiences when working, which was a good, positive time.
