MENIFEE -- The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:
Murrieta Road at Newport Road
EMWD continues to perform night-time work on their Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project. Full lane closures may be in place between the hours of 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. at the intersection of Murrieta Road and Newport Road. Work at this location is expected to continue for several weeks before continuing south on Murrieta Road. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad for additional updates on this project.
Palomar Road at Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Improvements
Palomar Road will reopen Tuesday and Matthews Road remains open in both directions. Future traffic impact updates for this project will be provided when conditions change.
Goetz Road - North of Kabian Park – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project
SCE’s contractor continues to pull electric cable for this project. Traffic control will continue to occur intermittently as the project progresses.
Menifee Road Improvements – North of Matthews Road
Construction is still active in the area of Menifee Road and Matthews Road. Lane closures and traffic delays should be expected intermittently to support construction activity.
Peacock Place Community Resurfacing – Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project
Construction continues on this roadway improvement project as the contractor works to replace concrete ADA access ramps and cross gutters. Street work is also occurring in preparation for road resurfacing.
Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard – Traffic Signal Improvements
The City anticipates construction of traffic signal improvements to begin the week of April 4 at the intersection of Murrieta Road and Sun City Boulevard. The project work will require lane closures and detours will be posted. This traffic signal project is a Capital Improvement Project approved by the Mayor and City Council as a priority project in the current 5-Year Capital Improvement Program.
