MENIFEE -- The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:
Murrieta Road – Near Newport Road
Night work on EMWD’s Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project is still proceeding Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Day-time work is also in process, requiring the closure of northbound lanes on Murrieta Road from Lazy Creek Road to Park City Avenue. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad for additional updates on this project.
Goetz Road - North of Kabana Park – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project
Minor construction work has resumed on this project as small retaining walls are being installed around substation locations. This work may impact traffic occasionally as traffic controls will intermittently be placed to support the project activity.
Rockport Ranch – Material Import Haul Route Update
Hauling for the Rockport Ranch development is expected to conclude this week. Any final material loads will continue to use the approved haul route and times below:
-- Antelope Road/Garbani Road/Briggs Road - Monday through Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
-- Holland Road - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday - 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Hauling on Holland Road continues to be restricted on Wednesdays to ease traffic congestion due to the minimum day school schedules in the area.
Menifee Road Improvements – North of Matthews Road
Roadway and storm drain improvements continue in this area. While there are no hard road closures, traffic delays should be expected due to construction work.
Peacock Place Community Resurfacing – Capital Improvement Program (CIP) Project
Construction work continues in preparation for improvements in the Peacock Place community. Improvements to roadways, existing handicap ramps, and cross gutters will be constructed over the next several weeks. Streets involved in the project include Tyler Court, Doreen Drive, Connie Way, Monica Way, Roylene Drive, Genevieve Drive, Leah Lane, and Felicia Avenue.
For questions on the project/construction updates listed, please contact Philp Southard, Public Information and Legislative Affairs Officer, at 951-746-0654 or at psouthard@cityofmenifee.us.
