Miciah Hankins of Rancho Christian High School (above) was the MVP Saturday night as the visiting team beat the home team 117-116 in the 16th Annual Desert Valley All-Star Basketball Game at Santa Rosa Academy.
The featured game for seniors showcased many top performers, including Payden White of Riverside Poly (23 points), Khemani Davis of Rancho Verde (20), Timothy Steward Parker of Notre Dame (21), Elijah Edwards of West Valley (17) and Trevor Manning of Roosevelt (11 points, 7 rebounds).
Steward Parker won the slam dunk competition and Troy Babarin of Arlington won the 3-point contest.
In the Rising Stars game for juniors, the visiting team beat the home team, 101-78. Rancho Cucamonga’s Shadale Knight (next photo below) was the MVP with 20 points. Reuben Sevilla of Hillcrest had 19, Anthony Smith of Rancho Verde 14, Mike McNair of Linfield Christian 19, and Brandon Ivery of Aquinas 16.
In the Rising Stars 24/25 game for freshmen and sophomores, Brayden Burries of Riverside Poly (bottom photo) was MVP with 39 points. Jory Valencia of CSDR had 14, Drew Pierce of Temecula Valley 13, and Clayton Moiana of Arrowhead Christian 26. The visiting team beat the home team, 113-112.
