The Menifee City Council last week approved the addition of 18 staff positions and reclassification of seven other positions at City Hall.
That brings the total number of full-time equivalent employees of the City to 302.65. This action came after City officials announced that the General Fund budget was increased to $1.6 million, based on projections of increased sales tax revenue.
The new positions include 14 new sworn officer positions and one support position for the Menifee Police Department.
