The Heritage High girls basketball team faces another long road trip Tuesday in the first round of the Division IV state regional playoffs.

The Patriots, who lost at Lawndale in the CIF Southern Section semifinals on Wednesday, will travel 110 miles to Imperial High for Tuesday's 6 p.m. match-up. Imperial has a 24-6 record and is seeded sixth in the tournament.

Heritage, enjoying its best season ever, is 22-5 and seeded No. 11 in the tournament. The Patriots' leading players are Aaliyah Benavidez (16.5 points, 4.8 assists per game); Sierra Maxwell (15.7 points, 5.2 assists per game); Lauren Pagtakhan (12.2 points per game); and Naya Perez (6.3 points, 7.2 rebounds per game).
