Paloma Valley High School softball player Destiny Sevilla recently signed a national letter of intent to accept an athletic scholarship to Farleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.
Sevilla is a corner infielder who also played with the Athletics Jendro 18-U Premier club team. She plans on majoring in psychology at FDU, according to a press release from the school.
Sevilla is expected to provide defensive help and excel at the plate for the Knights when she arrives in the fall.
"Destiny has one of those swings where the ball just explodes off her bat," said FDU coach Chris Foye. "She will be a powerful hitter in our lineup while hitting many home runs during her time wearing the burgundy and blue. Destiny brings strong leadership that will fit in perfectly with our culture and we are excited to welcome her to the Knights program!"
