Joaquin Gruber was honored by the Menifee City Council with the Inspiring Academic award.
Three outstanding area high school students were honored by the City of Menifee this week as the winter quarter recipients of the Community Services Department’s Teen Awards.
Christina Marlow, a senior at Santa Rosa Academy, was honored as All-Star Athlete. She is a co-captain of the Rangers girls soccer team and excels at center back on defense.
Joaquin Gruber, a senior at Paloma Valley High School, received the Inspiring Academic award. He is a member of the California Scholastic Federation. He also is a member of Link Crew and the Menifee Youth Leaders organization. In addition, he belongs to quarter-horse and rodeo associations.
Katelyn Colley, a junior at Santa Rosa Academy, was named Outstanding Citizen. Every holiday season she donates her time to shopping for, making and hand delivering gifts to those in need.
