Two victims die in separate accidents in Lake Elsinore

Two victims died in separate traffic collisions about a mile apart in Lake Elsinore Friday night.

The first occurred at 9:19 p.m. on the 15 Freeway at Railroad Canyon Road, according to the Riverside County Fire Department. The collision involved a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle. Rafael Marchan, 29, of Wildomar died at the scene, according to the Coroner’s Office.

The second accident occurred at 10:34 p.m. at the intersection of Summerhill Drive and Corte Seriui, about a half-mile north of Railroad Canyon Road. The Coroner’s Office reported that Julian Munoz, 24, of Murrieta died at the scene.

No other details were available on either incident this morning.
