Menifee man dies in solo vehicle crash into wall

A Menifee man died Friday night in a solo vehicle collision in a local neighborhood, police said.

The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. in the 27000 block of Via Real, according to the Menifee Police Department. Officers responding to the report of a vehicle colliding into a residential wall arrived to find concerned citizens performing life-saving measures on the accident victim.

The driver, identified by the Coroner’s Office as 44-year-old Jason Remington, was pronounced dead at the scene. Local streets were blocked off during the investigation.

Cause of the collision is under investigation. No one else was injured.
