MENIFEE -- The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:
Murrieta Road – Near Salt Creek
Work for EMWD’s Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project continues and is currently active on Murrieta Road between Lazy Creek Road and Newport Road. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad for more information.
McCall Boulevard - Encanto Road and Oakhurst Avenue – Resurfacing Project
Resurfacing work will begin Jan. 10 on McCall Boulevard between Encanto Road and Oakhurst Avenue. Construction activity will be occurring in both eastbound and westbound lanes on McCall. Daily westbound road work will have a delayed start time of 8:30 a.m. daily to reduce impacts on school traffic.
Palomar Road at Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Improvements
Matthews Road (Case Road) has been completed and the roadway has been reopened. Palomar Road remains closed until further notice.
Goetz Road - North of South Canyon Drive – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project
No updates.
Rockport Ranch - Material Import Haul Route Update
Lennar continues with material import operations along Antelope Road, Garbani Road, Holland Road, and Briggs Road for the Rockport Ranch development. The hauling schedule, including reduced travel times and days on Holland Road, is as follows:
Antelope Road / Garbani Road / Briggs Road: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Holland Road: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Hauling on Holland Road has been eliminated on Wednesdays to ease traffic congestion related to the minimum day school schedules in the area.
Scott Road /Leon Road – Intersection Improvements
Intersection improvements are still underway at the intersection of Scott Road and Leon Road. Traffic control is in place for daytime work and will remain in place until further notice. Travel lanes are available in all directions as work is occurring. This project is a joint effort between the County of Riverside, Perris Union High School District, and the City of Menifee.
