City Hall closure extended; some in-person service available

MENIFEE -- In response to the continued impacts of the recent COVID-19 surge, the City of Menifee will be extending the temporary closure of City Hall and other facilities to regular in-person services with an anticipated reopening on Monday, Feb. 14.

To better serve the community during the extended closure, the City will begin offering limited appointments for in-person services beginning on Monday, Jan. 31. Appointments will be available Monday through Friday and can be setup online by visiting cityofmenifee.us or by calling 951-672-6777.

“Our priority remains the health and wellbeing of our employees and the public,” said Menifee city manager Armando Villa. “City staff is continuing to work diligently to increase our level of service while keeping our community safe.”

City Hall will also continue to offer services virtually via the "Zero Stop Shop," which provides online resources for many City services. Customer service representatives will be available by phone Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 951-672-6777. The Menifee Police Department will continue to be available by phone at 951-723-1500.

The Senior Lunch Program provided by the Community Services Department will continue its drive-thru format during the extended temporary closure. Indoor recreational classes and activities will also be postponed during this time.

Public meetings will remain open for limited in-person attendance on a first-come-first-serve basis to ensure social distancing. Attendees will be required to take a temperature check and wear a mask when indoors. Meetings can also be viewed remotely via the City’s Youtube channel.

The City will continue to actively monitor the COVID-19 situation and its operational impacts, and will make any additional adjustments as necessary.
