City announces road construction projects

MENIFEE -- The City has project and construction updates to share with the community:

Murrieta Road – Near Salt Creek

EMWD’s Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project remains an active construction project. Night work on the project is expected to begin in the upcoming weeks. Information regarding any anticipated traffic impacts from night work will be provided in future updates. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad for additional updates on this project.

McCall Boulevard - Encanto Road and Oak Hurst Avenue – Resurfacing Project

Sidewalk improvements are currently being constructed along McCall Boulevard as part of the resurfacing project. Restriping of the roadways is scheduled to begin once sidewalk work is completed. The contractor will continue to delay the start of any work in westbound lanes until 8:30 a.m. daily to accommodate school traffic flow in the earlier morning hours.

Goetz Road - North of Kabian Park – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project

SCE has started a second phase of utility line undergrounding work on Goetz Road. This phase of the project has work currently being performed just north of Kabian Park. Travel lanes will be accessible in both north and southbound directions during the project. The second phase of undergrounding is expected to be completed in late February.

Scott Road/Leon Road – Intersection Improvements

Paving work on the roadway shoulders is in active construction and expected to continue into the weekend. This work is not expected to impact travel lanes.
