The latest DUI checkpoint conducted by Menifee Police Department resulted in one arrest for driving under the influence of drugs, Menifee PD announced.

The checkpoint was conducted from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of Newport Road and Winter Hawk Road, according to a press release. In addition, one person was arrested for delaying or obstructing a peace officer, and eight others were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked driver’s license.

Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
