The pace of construction will soon increase at one of the primary intersections for traffic to and from Liberty High School.
Paving is scheduled to begin soon at the intersection of Scott Road and Leon Road, which is being widened and will receive a traffic signal. The project is a joint effort involving Riverside County, Perris Union High School District, and the City of Menifee.
The project is expected to greatly improve traffic around the high school. In the meantime, however, traffic may be further impacted as work continues.
Here’s an update on other road projects in the area, provided by the City of Menifee:
Murrieta Road – Near Salt Creek
Work on EMWD’s Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project continues to move south on Murrieta Road with construction now occurring near Lazy Creek Road. Travel through the project area remains available in both directions. Please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad or click here for project updates.

Construction activity is planned to begin at a later start time of 8:30 a.m. while school is in session to minimize impacts to school traffic in the area.
Earlier construction start times will be in effect during the school holiday break from Dec. 21 through Jan. 6.
Palomar Road at Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Improvements
Storm drain improvements are still under active construction in this area. Matthews Road (Case Road) is expected to be reopened the week of Dec. 19, restoring east and west travel along this section of roadway. Palomar Road will remain closed until further notice while construction continues.
