Olive Garden opening delayed until Jan. 17

Folks eagerly anticipating the opening of the Olive Garden restaurant in Menifee Town Center will have to wait a little longer.

Olive Garden won't open its doors until Jan. 17, according to Gina Gonzalez, economic development director for the City of Menifee. Originally announced for today, the opening was delayed because kitchen equipment for the new building was still on cargo ships in the L.A. harbor.

Meanwhile, Olive Garden continues to hire staff. Openings are still advertised on their website.

At least one other local business scheduled to open soon also has been delayed because of problems getting supplies from the harbor port. Crumbl Cookies has not yet announced an opening date.
