Joan Wakeland honored as Menifee Citizen of Month

The Menifee City Council last week honored longtime Sun City resident Joan Wakeland as the Outstanding Citizen of the Month in Menifee.

Wakeland was recognized for her years of service to the community, including leadership roles in the Menifee Lions Club, Woman's Club, and Boys and Girls Clubs of Menifee Valley. In September, she was crowned Mrs. International Woman of Achievement for her impact in Menifee and surrounding areas.
