Heritage water polo team advances to CIF-SS semifinals

Fresh off a 9-6 win over Lakewood on Saturday, the Heritage High boys water polo team will play host to Ocean View Wednesday in the CIF-SS Division 6 semifinals.

The Sunbelt League champion Patriots improved their overall record to 15-7 heading into the 5 p.m. game at Lakeside High School. Ocean View, which defeated La Quinta 13-8, has a 12-14 record.

Heritage received a bye in the first round of the playoffs. The Patriots then advanced to the semifinals with an 11-2 victory over Santa Fe before the win over Lakewood.
