Murrieta Road – Near Salt Creek
The first phase of the Murrieta Road Transmission Pipeline Project on Murrieta Road (north of Salt Creek), which experienced minor delays this week, is expected be completed the week of Nov. 8. Once complete, traffic control and detours will be relocated to the next phase of the project located on Murrieta Road, just north of Park City Avenue going south towards Newport Road.
Traffic control for this phase of the project will provide for one lane of through traffic in both the north and southbound directions as crews perform work in the center of the roadway on Murrieta Road.

McCall Boulevard - Encanto Road and Antelope Road – Resurfacing Project
Initial work on the City’s McCall Boulevard AC Resurfacing Project installed ADA compliant accessibility ramps on McCall between Encanto Road and Antelope Road. Minor asphalt patching to tie in the new ramps is expected to be performed today.
Due to multiple construction projects in this area, project work to resurface the roadway is not expected to begin until early December. The project will include road reconstruction in various areas which will remove areas of failed pavement and reconstruct with new pavement. In addition to ADA ramps and road resurfacing, the completed project will provide new signage, striping and minor storm drain improvements for this section of McCall Boulevard.
Menifee Road/McCall Boulevard – Intersection Improvements
Night work at this location has concluded at this time. Project work is expected to resume in the near future. Additional construction updates will be provided at that time.
Palomar Road at Matthews Road (Case Road) – Storm Drain Improvements
Progress continues on the project to install storm drain improvements in Palomar Road. At this time, the closure of Matthews Road for this project is expected to remain in place through December. Palomar Road between Matthews Road and Hwy 74 is expected to remain in place through April 2022.
Goetz Road north of South Canyon Drive – SCE Utility Undergrounding Project
Southern California Edison continues to make progress on their project to underground electrical lines on Goetz Road from South Canyon Drive and continuing north. The project construction schedule maintains work occurring weekly Monday - Saturday (7 a.m. - 5 p.m.).
The northbound lane of Goetz Road is closed during work hours, but travel in both directions remains available with traffic control provided by SCE’s contractor. Traffic delays may be experienced on this portion of Goetz Road.
