Two people died in a two-vehicle collision on westbound Domenigoni Parkway west of Lindenberger Road in Menifee tonight, authorities said.
Domenigoni Parkway / Newport Road between Lindenberger and Laguna Vista was expected to be closed for several hours tonight during the investigation, said Menifee Police Captain Dave Gutierrez. The accident was reported at 5:22 p.m.
According to Gutierrez, a vehicle lost control and overturned. Two occupants of the vehicle died as a result of their injuries. Cal Fire reports that a third person was transported with moderate injuries. The overturned vehicle was towing a trailer, according to Cal Fire.
The driver of the other vehicle stayed on scene and is cooperating with the investigation, Gutierrez said. No other information was released tonight.
This is three accidents in the same area in a months time...speed limit should'nt be 55...needs to be 45....Menifee traffic controller this needs immediate attention.
