Three individuals were arrested Friday night after being contacted by Menifee Police in a vehicle connected with an attempted homicide elsewhere in Riverside County, authorities said.
Officers located the vehicle in a parking lot near Newport Road and Antelope Road, according to a Menifee PD Facebook post. The suspect, 22-year-old Zachary Holguin of Jurupa Valley, was wanted by the Jurupa Valley Sheriff's Station in connection with an attempted homicide, as well as for a parole violation. Also discovered in the vehicle were Joseph Serna, 32, and Francesca Berdial, 34, both of Hemet.
Serna was found to be on county probation and Berdial was on federal probation. A search of the vehicle revealed a handgun, methamphetamine, illicit pills, identity theft evidence, and property for a recent vehicle burglary.
Holguin faces charges of attempted homicide, violation of parole, possession of a handgun, and other felony charges. Berdial was arrested for her warrants and faces charges of ID theft, and drug related charges. Serna faces charges of possession of stolen property and violation of probation.
No other details about the attempted homicide were released.
