MENIFEE -- The fall season kicks off in Menifee on Saturday, Oct. 23, with the city’s annual Fall Festival -- a free, family-friendly celebration featuring costume contests, games, food vendors and live entertainment. The fun continues on Friday, Oct. 29, at Menifee’s Day of the Dead celebration.

The Fall Festival will take place at Mt. San Jacinto College’s Menifee Campus, 28237 La Piedra Road, from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 23. Highlights include:

Costume contests for children aged 13 and younger, pets and families. To register, visit www.cityofmenifee.us/register or email communityservices@cityofmenifee.us.

A variety of community performances and music

An educational and interactive presentation by Menifee Park Rangers on “How to Compost Pumpkins”

An array of unique food and craft vendors, nonprofits, and business booths. To become a vendor, please complete the application at www.cityofmenifee.us/specialevents or email communityservices@cityofmenifee.us.

The event is made possible by Mt. San Jacinto College and our partners and sponsors. The festivities continue with the Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, event at Central Park, 30268 Civic Plaza Drive, from 5-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 29.

Day of the Dead is a Mexican holiday in which families welcome back the souls of their deceased relatives for a brief reunion that includes food, drinks, and celebration. The event features live music, dance performances, children's activities, traditional food, and retail vendors. The local celebration promotes cultural awareness and engagement, and supports the diverse community in Menifee.

The event is made possible by Mt. San Jacinto College and our partners and sponsors. The festivities continue with the Day of the Dead, or Día de los Muertos, event at Central Park, 30268 Civic Plaza Drive, from 5-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 29.

Residents are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs to enjoy the performances throughout the night. The event is free to the public and open for all ages. A special thank you to our partners and sponsors, Marin Realty Group and Miller-Jones Mortuary, for making this event possible.
