The City of Menifee has announced road closures related to three projects in the city beginning this week. Here are the details from City of Menifee news releases:

Beginning Monday, the intersection of Menifee Road and McCall Boulevard will be closed each night to perform utility work for the development of the planned McCall Square commercial center at the northwest corner. The closure for this first phase of work will restrict all left turn movements and reduce traffic to one lane in each direction.

The work will occur nightly at 6:30 p.m. and the road will be reopened for normal use by 5 a.m. each morning. The work is expected to continue for approximately two weeks.

Also beginning Monday, Palomar Road will be closed at Matthews Road (also known as Case Road) for project work related to the installation of storm drain facilities. The closure is expected to last two weeks for this phase of project work.

Additional closures are anticipated on Palomar Road in the future as the storm drain project continues to move north to Watson Road. Detours will be posted while the closure is in place.

Finally, Southern California Edison has commenced work on Goetz Road. The construction work will place underground existing electrical lines along the portion of Goetz Road starting at South Canyon Drive and continuing north. The project work is expected to take approximately 12 weeks with construction occurring weekly Monday through Saturday (7 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

Goetz Road will remain open with traffic control provided by SCE’s contractor; however, traffic delays may be experienced on this portion of Goetz Road.
