The family of a Menifee resident missing since Wednesday morning asks the public to continue to watch for signs of her as the search moves into its fourth day.
Karen Winteringham has dementia and has been known to walk around the city, but never for an extended period of time, said her granddaughter, Maki A. Smith. A Silver Alert was issued by the California Highway Patrol and Menifee Police Department, but there have been no signs of the missing woman.
"The family will appreciate if you can feature her on the news in hopes of spreading the word," Smith said. "She also has high blood pressure and heart complications. She hasn’t had any of her medications and it’s been well over 100 degrees for the past few days."
Winteringham was last seen about 9 a.m. on Wednesday near Mehaffey Street and Chambers Avenue in the Sun City community. She was wearing a yellow shirt, yellow floral pants, and glasses. If you have seen her or have any information relating to this case, call 911. Smith also asks that you message Maki A. Smith or Andrea Simpson on Facebook.
