Murder suspect in custody; 2-year-old found safe

A man suspected of murdering his girlfriend and fleeing with his 2-year-old son is now in custody and the boy is safe, according to authorities.

An Amber Alert was issued by the California Highway Patrol on Monday after Sheriff's Deputies discovered 43-year-old Natasha Denise Barlow, 43, of San Jacinto dead at a location near Lake Elsinore. Details of her killing were not released, but police said they believed the suspect -- 42-year-old Celestine John Stoot Jr. of San Jacinto -- had fled with his toddler son, Celestine John Stoot III.

Details of the apprehension of Stoot Jr. have not been released.
