News release from the City of Menifee:
MENIFEE -- The Menifee Police Department and the City of Menifee welcome the community to a special National Night Out event on Aug. 3 to enjoy the evening with residents and celebrate Menifee PD’s first year of service.
The entire Menifee community is invited to come to Menifee’s Central Park for connection, education, and fun from 5-8 p.m. The event is an opportunity to interact directly with your Menifee Police Department and celebrate its first year of service.
Residents of all ages are encouraged to come down to watch a K-9 demonstration, see Menifee PD’s new SWAT armored vehicle and Crime Scene Investigation Van, meet the traffic unit, and participate in officer meet-and-greets. There will also be fun activities for all kids along with free shaved ice for the first 300.
A special presentation will begin at 6 p.m. featuring Menifee’s city manager, Armando G. Villa, Police Chief Pat Walsh, Menifee City Council, dignitaries, and a special keynote speech by State Senator Rosilicie Ochoa Bogh.
Walsh highlighted what an important night this will be for the Menifee Police Department.
“We are the community’s police department. We pride ourselves on living by our mission statement where we deliver an experience where people feel unified, engaged, and safe, and events like this allow us to connect with the Menifee community and highlight the incredible programs their police department has to keep them safe. We can’t wait to spend the evening with everyone,” said Walsh.
National Night Out aims to build relationships between law enforcement and the community and perfectly aligns with Menifee PD’s mission to deliver an experience where people feel unified, engaged, and safe. The Menifee Police Department looks forward to coming together with the community, introducing residents to Menifee PD’s premier equipment, and celebrating a successful first year serving Menifee.
