City of Menifee officials honored outstanding youth from the community on Monday at the 2021 Menifee Teen Awards ceremony.
An addition to the annual program was the selection of three nominated youths for special awards. Olivia Voelkel of Santa Rosa Academy was honored as All-Star Athlete; David Vidrio of Paloma Valley High School was named Outstanding Citizen; and Daniel Rodriguez of Paloma Valley High School received the Inspiring Academic award.
Five members of the City’s Youth Leaders of Menifee program were honored as well.
Ashley Barajas and Mayra Alegria were joint winners of the Community Service Award, honoring the YLM member with the most community service hours in their term.
Meagan Macatangay received the Rising Star Award, presented to a YLM member in ninth or 10th grade who has gone above and beyond, showing great promise for future years with YLM.
Elizabeth Ortiz and Paloma Valencia were joint winners of the Team Player Award, recognizing the most well-rounded YLM member.
