New Menifee library on La Piedra Road to open July 17

Riverside County officials have announced that the new Menifee Public Library will open on July 17 at 10 a.m.

The library is located at the corner of La Piedra Road and Menifee Road, across from Wheatfield Park. The 20,000-square-foot facility includes the traditional library book stacks, computer work stations and charging stations, an adult area, children’s area and community room.

The library is being built at no cost to Menifee taxpayers. It is part of a public-private partnership between Riverside County and the contractor. Sun City Library will continue to serve residents as well, but the library at Paloma Valley High School will close.
