Two arrested after 1,000 marijuana plants located

Sheriff’s deputies serving a search warrant at a Wildomar residence on Thursday located a large marijuana cultivation and arrested two people, authorities said.

Members of the Lake Elsinore Station Special Enforcement Team arrived at a residence in the 36600 block of Loring Road, north of Clinton Keith Road, at 2 p.m., according to a Sheriff’s Department news release. During the service of the search warrant, they located 1,000 marijuana plants, 100 pounds of processed marijuana, a loaded .22 caliber rifle, a large sum of U.S. currency and several items used in manufacturing firearms.

Rafael Penton, 55, and Sarahi Del Valle, 49, both residents of Wildomar, were arrested and booked on charges of marijuana cultivation and marijuana possession for sales.
