Students at Heritage, Paloma Valley and Liberty high schools will return to campus full-time for the next school year, district officials announced today.
According to a post on the Perris Union High School District Facebook page, all students will have the opportunity for face-to-face instruction five days a week. Those who choose to remain in distance learning will have the option to do so.
“We are dedicated to creating a safe and caring environment for our students as they return in the fall,” the post stated. “As we near the beginning of the school year, we will clearly communicate the safety precautions necessary to hold face-to-face instruction. This year has been extremely challenging for all and we have missed our students and staff all being together. We look forward to seeing your student in person in August.”
For the remainder of this school year, students in PUHSD will remain in total distance learning except for seniors, who have been allowed back on a limited basis. The unknown for next school year is the extent – if any – of COVID-19 precautions. At this point, California is on track to remove the mask mandate by June 15, according to Gov. Gavin Newsom.
Parents may register their student for next year on the PUHSD website here.
