League champions Paloma Valley High and Heritage High received home games for next week in the opening round of the CIF Southern Section girls soccer playoffs, officials announced today. The Heritage boys soccer team, which also won a league title, will be on the road.
The Paloma Valley girls (8-3-1) will play host to Mission Viejo (4-4-5) in a Division 2 game on Wednesday. The Wildcats won the Ivy League with an 8-0 record.
Sunbelt League champion Heritage, which is 10-3-3 overall, will be at home in the first round of the Division 6 girls playoffs Wednesday against Nogales (6-1-2). The Patriots were 5-0-3 in claiming their first league title.
On Thursday, the Inland League champion Patriots boys team will hit the road for its Division 6 playoff opener at Arroyo (8-3-1). Heritage posted an 8-6-2 overall record and won league with a 5-2-1 mark.
The Santa Rosa Academy girls soccer team (3-3) also made the playoffs and will be at home on Friday against Elsinore (5-6-5).
