One lane each way of McCall Boulevard is closed in front of the McCall Plaza project.
The Menifee Planning Commission recently took the next step in final approvals for McCall Plaza, where construction is underway at the southeast corner of McCall Boulevard and Sherman Road.
At its April 28 meeting, the Commission approved a Master Sign Program for the project, which will include an ARCO gas station with a canopy over eight fuel pumps, including diesel fuel. A separate diesel fuel station will be located in the back of the structure for use by RVs and larger commercial trucks.
The two diesel stations will be separate entities maintained by two different companies, city officials said.
In addition to the gas station, the 12,380-square-foot project will include a convenience store, car wash, two fast-food restaurants and a retail store. Tenants for those businesses have not been announced.
The monument sign for McCall Plaza will be placed at the corner of the 8.85-acre property, facing McCall Boulevard. There will also be two LED fuel pricing signs on the west elevation of the diesel fuel canopy, according to the plans.
The McCall Plaza project was originally approved by the Planning Commission in 2017. The signage plan was approved unanimously April 28. No grand opening date has been announced.
Just what we need ...another dirty gas station!
