News release from Eastern Municipal Water District:
PERRIS -- Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) began work this month on a new water transmission pipeline in Murrieta Road in the City of Menifee.
The Murrieta Road Pipeline Improvement Project will construct a 36-inch pipeline on Murrieta Road between Salt Creek and La Piedra Road. The new pipeline will support EMWD’s new groundwater desalination facility and allow EMWD to provide additional water supply reliability to the surrounding community.
Work will be done during daytime hours with the exception of the intersection of Murrieta Road and Newport Road, which will be done during nighttime hours. Construction is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2022.
EMWD asks that motorists and pedestrians please obey all traffic control measures in place to ensure the safety of the community and our crews.
For more information on the project, please visit www.emwd.org/MurrietaRoad.
