Santa Rosa Academy wrestling standout Erica Schroeder signs a letter of intent to attend Colorado Mesa University.
Santa Rosa Academy senior Erica Schroeder has signed a letter of intent to accept a scholarship to Colorado Mesa University, where she will compete on the women’s wrestling team.
Schroeder was honored in a ceremony at the school on Thursday. She is the first female wrestler from Santa Rosa to receive a scholarship.
A 4.0 student, Schroeder will graduate in the Administration of Justice Pathway. She started wrestling in her sophomore year and has compiled a career record of 48-12 with 43 pins. She was an Ivy League champion, two-time CIF qualifier and two-time first-team all-league honoree. In addition, Schroeder received a High School Scholar All-American Award from the National Wrestling Coaches Association in 2019-20.
Schroeder will major in communications at Colorado Mesa.
