Residents remember those who died from coronavirus

Saturday's Menifee Coronavirus Memorial and Peace Garden dedication was a reminder of what makes Menifee the community it is. As shared by Pastor Kasey Crawford, Chair of the Menifee Interfaith and Community Services Council -- the community nonprofit that led the memorial effort -- it’s the relationships that the citizens of Menifee have with one another that are going to hold the community together in both the best times and the toughest times.

The 144 white ornamental doves in the memorial were placed in a grouping of trees and the white rock garden is a place to remember loved ones who have passed away in the past year for any reason or for those who have faced challenges this past year.

The memorial is located at Menifee’s Central Park and rocks can be personalized and added to the white rock river at any time. The City thanks the many community groups, businesses, and community members who came together to create this memorial for the Menifee community.
