Motorcyclist dies in collision with vehicle on Newport Road

A motorcyclist died at the scene of a collision with a vehicle on Newport Road Monday night, authorities said.

The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. between Bradley Road and Winter Hawk, according to a Menifee Police Department news bulletin. Newport Road was closed in both directions at that point during the investigation.

The County Coroner's Office has identified the deceased as Charles Hannem, 36, of Menifee. No other details are available at this time.
