A Canyon Lake man faces two felony charges after his arrest Tuesday on suspicion of sexual assault, authorities said.
Alfonso Martinez, 51, was taken into custody at the conclusion of an ongoing investigation regarding a past sexual assault on a juvenile that occurred in the 22000 block of San Joaquin Drive in Canyon Lake, according to a Sheriff's Department news release. The suspect was arrested without incident at his residence.
Martinez was booked into the Riverside County Jail and was released on bail today. He has a July 29 court date to answer to felony charges of a felony committed while on out on bail and stalking with a prior conviction, in addition to a misdemeanor charge of harassment.
