The Riverside County Fire Department responded today at 6:56 p.m. to a fire at the Dollar Tree store in the 26000 block of Cherry Hills Boulevard, in the Cherry Hills Plaza in the Sun City community.

One unit was impacted in the fire in the rear of the single-story structure, according to a fire department bulletin. The fire was contained at 7:29 p.m. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

  1. Signs on the store front glass indicate a temporary closure due to the location being being unsafe as result of "arson/water damage". Did an investigation find that the fire was intentionally set?
