County health officials today reported 260 more confirmed cases of COVID-19 and four more deaths in Menifee in the last 24 hours, ending a record-breaking week of reported cases for the city.
The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Menifee since March increased to 4,038 -- 825 since last Friday. That means that 20 percent of the nine-month total of COVID-19 cases reported in Menifee have occurred in the last week. The total deaths in Menifee related to COVID-19 now stands at 53.
Statistics reported today also show that 1,903 of the 4,038 people confirmed with COVID-19 in Menifee since March have recovered. That number might be much higher, however, because of a suspected lack of reporting of some recovered patients.
The overall numbers for Riverside County continue to break records as well. Here are the COVID-19 numbers reported on Friday, Dec. 18 by the Riverside County Health Department:
Total individuals tested: 1,418,624 (increase of 15,382)
Total confirmed cases: 141,062 (increase of 8,244)
Total deaths: 1,744 (increase of 36)
Confirmed cases in Menifee: 4,038 (increase of 260)
Deaths in Menifee: 53 (increase of 4)
Recovered in Menifee: 1,903
Hospitalized: 1,092 (increase of 38)
Number in ICU: 224 (increase of 8)
Recovered: 72,008 (increase of 469)
