The Menifee Police Department is seeking witnesses to a major traffic collision with injuries that occurred Saturday morning.
Officers responded at 10 a.m. along with Fire Department personnel to the accident at Holland Road and Evans Road, according to a Menifee PD news release. The accident involved a black Chevrolet truck and a gray Pontiac sedan. The driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The driver of the gray sedan suffered severe injuries and was transported to a hospital in stable condition. Two passengers in the sedan were trapped inside and were extricated by firefighters. Both were transported to local hospitals. One is a juvenile. They remain in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators learned there was possibly a large group of bicyclists in the area and may have witnessed the accident. There also may have been a third vehicle involved, described as a white Scion Xb.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has information about it is asked to contact Sergeant Bloch at 951-723-1565, or call the front desk at Menifee PD at 951-723-1500.
Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. The road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
