News release from Eastern Municipal Water District:
PERRIS -- Eastern Municipal Water District this month began work to replace an aging portion of pipeline in McCall Boulevard in the City of Menifee.
The McCall Boulevard Pipeline Replacement project will replace more than 6,000 linear feet of 12-inch pipeline between Bradley Road and Valley Boulevard. The existing pipeline is more than 50 years old and is being replaced as part of EMWD’s proactive replacement and refurbishment program.
During construction, one lane of McCall Boulevard will be shut down and motorists are urged to drive safely and follow all traffic control measures.
As part of the project, EMWD will also be replacing service laterals that serve homes along McCall Boulevard. This will require some temporary water service interruptions. Residents will be notified in advance and service outages are anticipated to be limited to no more than a few hours.
The full project is anticipated to be complete in Fall 2021.
For more information, residents should contact EMWD Senior Public Affairs Program Manager Amanda Fine at 951-928-3777, ext. 4206, or finea@emwd.org.
