Menifee Police Department officers and Sheriff's special deputies arrested one man Friday after locating more than 600 marijuana plants and two illegal assault rifles at a location in the Romoland community in Menifee, authorities have reported.
Members of the Menifee PD Problem Oriented Policing Team were assisted by the Riverside County Cannabis Regulation Task Force in the operation, according to a news release. An illegal marijuana cultivation search warrant was served at a location in the 25200 block of Tradewinds Drive. Manuel Ramsey, 41, of Menifee was booked into custody at the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta.
Ramsey faces a felony charge of possession of an assault weapon and misdemeanor charge of cultivating marijuana plants. He was released from custody on Friday and has a Jan. 13, 2021 court date in Murrieta.
