Many passing motorists noticed and acknowledged Menifee resident Ken Stetson on Friday as he paid tribute to those who died in the 9-11 attacks as well as active law enforcement and fire personnel throughout the country.
Stetson spent three hours sitting in his wheelchair on the northwest corner of Newport Road and Haun Road with a display of equipment used by first responders. He has made that same appearance before in support of law enforcement and has set up displays at the Veterans Memorial in Wheatfield Park.
Stetson, who is not a veteran, expresses constant support for the military and has recorded a song entitled "America, My Home." He also accepts donations to be forwarded to veterans and law enforcement personnel in need.
Menifee police and fire personnel waved to him as they passed by that corner on Friday.
