Suspect in Nuevo murder sought by Sheriff's Dept.

A third suspect has been identified in the Aug. 19 murder of a man in the unincorporated area of Nuevo. If you have seen or have any information about the whereabouts of Alexander Aquino, call Investigator Manjarrez of the Sheriff's Department at 951-538-8961.

Deputies responded at 9:42 a.m. Aug. 19 to the 29600 block of Nuevo Road to the report of an assault. They found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds in front of a business. The victim, identified as Abdallah Abushawish, 61, of San Jacinto, died at a local hospital. Later that day, two suspects were arrested -- Isaiah Lugo, 23, of Moreno Valley, and Charles Trevino, 24, of Perris. Both face murder charges.
