SoCalGas, city officials give special gift to Menifee seniors

More than 220 seniors in the Menifee area received an added surprise Wednesday during the Family Service Association’s food distribution at the Kay Ceniceros Center.

In addition to nutritious meals, the seniors received $25 gift cards from Provecho Grill and The Breakfast Club. The gift card giveaway is part of SoCalGas’ Fueling Our Communities effort.

“SoCalGas buys gift cards from local businesses and gives them to seniors through FSA. The seniors get an extra meal and the locally-owned restaurants get a bump in business,” said Adam Eventov, SoCalGas public affairs manager.

Riverside County Supervisor Jeff Hewitt (left), Menifee Mayor Bill Zimmerman and Menifee Community Services staff helped pass out the gift cards and meals at the event.
