Early morning fire in Menifee carport quickly knocked down

Firefighters contained a detached carport fire within minutes to save adjoining structures from damage early this morning, authorities said.

The fire was reported at 2:30 a.m. in the 32000 block of Briggs Road in Menifee, according to Cal Fire Riverside. Firefighters arrived to find the carport fully involved in flames. The fire was knocked down by 2:53 a.m. and no injuries were reported.
