Here's a news release from the City of Menifee about a grand program for small businesses:
In response to the economic hardships experienced by small businesses as a result from the COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Menifee has established the Menifee Cares Grant Program, as part of the Menifee Cares Initiative. The program awards eligible businesses $1,500 to $5,000 in grants to assist with the impacts of the current COVID-19 pandemic.
The City of Menifee recognizes that small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and in order to promote their continued success and job supporting, the City is utilizing the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant-Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) funding to establish the grant program.
The Menifee City Council approved the allocation of funds at the June 17 regular scheduled meeting. This program has been created in partnership with City’s Economic Development and the Community Development Departments in a collaborative effort to assist local Menifee businesses with working capital to support jobs, keep businesses open, maintain lease payments, and purchase PPE’s as required by state guidelines.
Pre-applications will be accepted through July 2 at 4 p.m. Grants will be made
available for a maximum of $5,000 (minimum of $1,500) for eligible expenses through a lottery
process. The City of Menifee encourages eligible businesses to apply.
Please see list of eligibility, eligible expenses and required documentation, provided in the Menifee Cares Grant Guide here.
